Tyler Austin Starting In Giants Debut
6 years agoMerely hours after being acquired from the Minnesota Twins, San Francisco Giants first baseman Tyler Austin will be immediately inserted into the club's starting lineup Monday as they face off with the San Diego Padres. Austin smacked 17 home runs and drove in 47 RBI in 69 games last season, but struck out 95 times in 268 plate appearances. Against the Padres he'll bat second as the Giants try anything to jump start the lineup after a 3-7 start to the season.
