Daniel Vogelbach Flexing His Muscles In Part-Time Role
6 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach is tearing the cover off the ball of late. He went 3-for-4 in Sunday's game with two home runs and a three-run double as he finished the day with six RBI. Vogelbach spelled Edwin Encarnacion for a couple of games earlier in the week and is now batting .467 with four bombs and eight RBI in his six games. The 26-year-old would be a must-add in all formats if he had an everyday role, but with Encarnacion, Jay Bruce and Ryon Healy swapping in and out of the first base and DH duties regularly, Vogelbach's at-bats will remain limited. If you have the bench space or are in a deeper mixed league, he could still be a worthwhile addition, especially if an injury occurred to one of the mentioned players above.
