Minnesota Timberwolves guard Tyus Jones continued his admiral role as the fill-in starting point guard for his squad on Wednesday in the two-point win over the Mavericks. Jones scored 15 points while handing out six assists and nailing an efficient 6-for-9 from the floor while draining all three of his makes from three on the night. Jones has been solid over his last eight games with 12.4 points, 7.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.3 makes from three in that span, making him a must-own player if you are in need of more than serviceable numbers from the point guard spot.--Gianni Costantiello

Phoenix Suns point guard Tyus Jones will open the campaign as a member of the starting unit. Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer has said Jones will be a starter alongside Jusuf Nurkic and the team's Big Three of Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Kevin Durant. Jones is coming off his first full season as a starter in Washington. Across 66 outings, he averaged 12.0 points with 7.3 assists. Considering the firepower Jones will have around him in Phoenix, his assists numbers should get a nice boost. However, his scoring will likely drop. Grayson Allen rolled as a starter among the Suns' stars last season. He should still play a big part in the rotation, but his fantasy value takes a hit with the move to the bench.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

According to Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro, Phoenix Suns guard Tyus Jones is expected to start this season. After spending last season in Washington, he agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract with Phoenix. In 60 games with the Wizards, the 26-year-old averaged a career-high 12.0 points and 7.3 assists, adding 1.1 steals. With Jones anticipated to roll with the first five, Grayson Allen will presumably return to the bench. From a statistical standpoint, Allen is also coming off the best year of his career, logging 13.5 points and shooting 46.1% from behind the arc. Fortunately for Allen's fantasy managers, the Suns' bench isn't deep, meaning he could remain involved. However, with Bradley Beal having issues staying healthy, Allen should still get chances to start during the 2024-25 campaign.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Free-agent guard Tyus Jones agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the Suns. The 28-year-old averaged a career-high 12.0 points and 7.3 assists in 60 games with the Wizards last season. He was arguably the top free agent available, and his arrival in Phoenix gives the Suns a reliable point guard capable of coming off the bench or providing quality minutes with the starting lineup. With that said, his pairing with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Jusuf Nurkic likely means a reduction in shot opportunities. However, Jones is skilled enough in other areas to remain a reliable fantasy option for managers, considering he's logged 1.0 steals per game throughout his career.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

According to NBA insider Michael Scotto, the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in free agent guard Tyus Jones. The former Duke Blue Devil spent last season with the Wizards, averaging a career-high 12.0 points, 7.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.1 steals while shooting 41.4% from deep. However, Jones' numbers would likely decline if he heads to Los Angeles, especially if he comes off the bench. Still, he would likely play enough minutes and draw some starts during the 2024-25 campaign, so he'll continue to have value for fantasy managers.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
