Brett Gardner Hits First Homer In Victory
6 years agoBatting leadoff as a result of one of the many injuries the New York Yankees are currently suffering from, outfielder Brett Gardner came through on Monday night. Taking on the Detroit Tigers, the longest-tenured Yankee recorded two hits, including a solo home run in what would ultimately be a quiet offensive night, with the Yankees prevailing, 3-1. Gardner stole a base as well, providing the speed his offense seeks from the top of the lineup before the big bats step up.
