Dexter Fowler Has A Bruised Toe
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler has been diagnosed with a bruised toe on his left foot after being hit by a pitch in Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. X-rays showed no fracture, so if he is forced to miss any time, it shouldn't be for too long. However, the team will monitor the situation. Fowler is now 33 and is no stranger to injuries over the past few seasons, including last year when he played just 90 games due a broken left foot. To start the year he has just two hits and two runs, and even when he returns he presents a low-floor, low-ceiling option in NL-only formats.
