Walker Buehler Allows Five Earned Runs In Debut
Walker Buehler allowed five earned runs, five hits and a walk with no strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He labored through the outing, needing 66 pitches for just nine outs. He also uncorked a wild pitch in the outing. The team is playing it safe with Buehler, who was brought along slowly during the spring. It might take a while for him to get to the point where the Dodgers kick off the training wheels and let him pitch without restrictions.

Walker Buehler Sharp In Win Over White Sox
Walker Buehler had his best start of the season on Monday, earning his third win in a 4-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Buehler allowed one run on four hits over his seven innings of work. He struck out nine and walked three. The 30-year-old has been a little up and down so far this season, but this was certainly a step in the right direction. He now holds a respectable 4.23 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 26 strikeouts in 27 ⅔ IP. Buehler is borderline rosterable in standard formats, but is a very good streaming option when he has good matchups like he did today.

Walker Buehler Fans Seven On Thursday
Walker Buehler was excellent on Thursday on a day the Red Sox desperately needed a win to avoid the four-game sweep at home against the division-rival Toronto Blue Jays. Buehler went 6 1/3 innings, allowing four hits, one earned run, and one walk while striking out seven. He walked away from this outing with a no-decision, as the Red Sox won the game in extra innings. The seven strikeouts were encouraging, and his effectiveness was impressive, as he only threw 89 pitches in the six-plus innings. Buehler will try to keep it going and is tentatively lined up to face the Tampa Bay Rays on the road. Fantasy managers can continue to roll out Buehler in most 12-plus team leagues, but they are hoping to see more consistency from him moving forward.

Walker Buehler To Start On Saturday
Walker Buehler (illness) is scheduled to take the mound against the Texas Rangers on Saturday. The right-hander was scratched from his most recent start due to a minor illness. It sounds like Buehler looked fine during his five innings of work on Monday. The team doesn't believe this illness will linger into the regular season, so Buehler appears to be ready to go. Buehler is coming off a rough 2024 campaign, but he somewhat salvaged his value with his strong performance in the postseason. It's worth noting Buehler hasn't finished with an ERA under 4.02 since the 2021 season. He could be a solid back-end option for the Red Sox, but his fantasy value might be limited.

Walker Buehler Scratched On Sunday With An Illness
Walker Buehler was scratched from his scheduled Grapefruit League start on Sunday due to an illness. Fantasy managers can breathe a collective sigh of relief. The righty will work in camp on the back fields on Monday and Cooper Criswell will start in his place on Sunday. The former first-round draft pick has looked good this spring, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out 11 batters in 10 innings pitched. After a rough couple of seasons in Los Angeles and dealing with injuries, the 2x All-Star will look to get his career back on track in Boston. The 30-year-old has an NFBC ADP of 250, but has the talent to outproduce that, especially given his environment with the Red Sox.
