6 years agoIn a complete reversal of Thursday's pitcher's duel, the New York Mets beat the Nationals on Saturday with the offense. A total of 19 runs were scored in the game, with 11 coming for the Mets. One of the offensive stars was rookie Peter Alonso, who smacked an RBI double in the second inning. In the eighth he doubled in another run. The 24-year-old has been strong in two starts to begin the new season.
