DJ LeMahieu Makes Most of Yankees Debut
6 years agoWhile his team was defeated Saturday afternoon, New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu was strong in his first start for the club. The former Colorado Rockies starter played third base and batted ninth. While he made a couple of sharp defensive plays, LeMahieu was just as impressive at the plate, recording two hits including a single in the fourth that drove in the first run of the game. The 30-year-old is likely to continue seeing sparse playing time, but if he can produce the way he did on Saturday, he may continue to earn additional time.
