New Jersey Devils goaltender Jonathan Bernier came in to relieve Mackenzie Blackwood on Thursday night. He stopped 14 shots as New Jersey went on to lose 4-1 in Florida. It is just par for the course as Lindy Ruff allowed Mackenzie Blackwood to get a little more rest in preparation for Saturday's game in Tampa Bay. Florida just kept peppering Bernier much like they did with Blackwood. There were quite a few high-danger scoring chances that the goaltender stopped on Thursday night.

New Jersey Devils goaltender Jonathan Bernier allowed four goals in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. Bernier stopped 31 of 35 shots but could not find a few rebounds. Three of the goals he gave up were tucked in through his five-hole. The fourth was off a scramble where again, Bernier just could not find the puck. It was one of those days for the goalie who had been quite solid in the early going while spelling Mackenzie Blackwood. With the loss, Bernier dropped to 4-2 on the season in six decisions.

New Jersey Devils goaltender Jonathan Bernier stood tall on Saturday night in the shootout win over the San Jose Sharks. It was not the volume of shots but the quality faced for the Devils goalie. Overall, Bernier stopped 25 of 27 shots on the night and all but one in the shootout. The goaltender only had to face four high-danger scoring chances on the night but made a few point-blank saves when needed. Bernier improved to 4-1 on the season and continues to be a valuable "backup" goaltender.

Goaltender Jonathan Bernier allowed four goals in all on Tuesday night as the New Jersey Devils were shut out by the Anaheim Ducks. Bernier yielded two goals on the penalty kill. The goaltender stopped 23 of 27 shots. The last goal allowed was a short-handed goal to boot, as Bernier endured a bit of an off night in his return to Anaheim. With little or no support, it was just one of those nights, as Troy Terry and Ryan Getzlaf were pretty much right near Bernier most of the contest.
