Chris Iannetta Racks Up Two Hits In Opener
6 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Chris Iannetta was quick to fill up the score sheet as he popped a pair of hits on Opening Day. He also reminded the world that manager Bud Black is still wanting his players to be aggressive on the basepaths. With the game in a scoreless tie in the third inning, the sluggish Iannetta tried to advance from second to third on a fly ball to right field. A good throw resulted in Iannetta being thrown out, but the temporary negative is an overall positive, especially for fantasy owners who have stakes in Trevor Story and Garrett Hampson. Even though the lineup is filled with big boppers, it looks like management is all in on players advancing at every opportunity. Look for steals to be plentiful.
