The Baltimore Ravens released veteran safety Eric Weddle ahead of free agency, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. The 34-year-old was entering the final year of his deal that would've paid him $6.5 million in 2019. The release saves the Ravens $7.5 million against the salary cap. Weddle started all 48 games and had 220 tackles, three sacks and 10 interceptions while earning Pro Bowl honors in three straight years the last three seasons. Weddle was a key piece to Baltimore's secondary in recent seasons, but even without him they should be one of the top units in the league.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
