Dallas Stars left wing Roope Hintz scored in a second consecutive game on Thursday, netting in overtime to help the team past the Los Angeles Kings 4-3. Dallas overcame a big night by Anze Kopitar who had two goals and an assist. Tyler Seguin, Mattias Janmark and Radek Faksa also scored for the Stars. Hintz's numbers don't stand out, as he has just five goals and 11 points for the year, but he's getting a look on the first line alongside Seguin and Alexander Radulov, and even skating on the first power-play unit with Jamie Benn (upper body) missing. The young Finn could provide some temporary fantasy value.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (face) could return to the lineup on Sunday to face the Colorado Avalanche. Hintz will not suit up on Friday but may not face an extended absence. He sustained this injury on Saturday during their loss to the Edmonton Oilers. Fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on his status leading up to their game on Sunday. On Friday, fantasy managers should expect Matt Duchene to continue to play on the top forward line alongside Jason Robertson and Mikael Granlund. Before Saturday's contest, Hintz was riding a six-game point streak. During this stretch, he found the back of the net three times and added 13 helpers. Through 59 contests, the 28-year-old has tallied 52 points, 15 of which came on the power-play. When he returns to the lineup, he should be started in all formats and viewed as a top option in DFS.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (face) will be sidelined for at least one week. He sustained a facial injury on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers when a puck struck him in the second period. Hintz is once again sitting among Dallas' scoring leaders in 2024-25, boasting 25 goals and 52 points in 59 appearances. Wyatt Johnston, who has notched 60 points (24 goals, 36 assists) in 64 games, took over the first-line center duties in Sunday's matchup against the Vancouver Canucks. He looks set to fill the role for at least two more games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) exited early during their loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday evening. Hintz took a deflected shot to the face. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status. He was taken to the hospital for further testing as well. The team may opt to keep Hintz sidelined for their next contest which is on Sunday evening against the Vancouver Canucks even if the injury is not serious. Before departing, the 28-year-old tallied two blocked shots and did not get on the scoresheet. However, entering this contest, Hintz was riding an impressive six-game point streak. During this stretch, he tallied 16 points (three goals) with seven of the points coming on the power-play. If Hintz were to miss time, fantasy managers should expect either Matt Duchene or Wyatt Johnston to move up to the top forward line alongside Mikko Rantanen and Jason Robertson.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz posted a second consecutive four-point game with one goal and three assists in Sunday's 6-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues. He notched his goal early in the second period during even-strength play and picked up all of his assists with the man advantage. The Finnish forward became only the second Stars/North Stars player in the past 40 years to record back-to-back four-point games, following Tyler Seguin in 2018-19. He has a chance to become the first one with three consecutive four-point efforts on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. Hintz has started to turn his season around, reaching 47 points (24 goals, 23 assists) in 56 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
