Patrik Laine Snaps Scoring Drought with Two Power-Play Markers
6 years agoWinnipeg Jets forward Patrik Laine scored his first goal since January 13, ending a 15 game scoreless streak with two power-play goals. Despite his stretch of scoring futility Laine still has 27 goals this season and is on pace for his third consecutive campaign with at least 36 goals. The window to buy low on Laine has seemingly closed with his return to his scoring ways, which is a relief to anyone that had come to depend on his elite scoring prowess. Still in the top 25 of goal scorers this season, Laine should be able to parlay his top line and top power play usage into a strong finish to the fantasy season for his owners as the Jets continue to push for the playoffs.
