6 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 38 of 40 shots against in order to pick up his 24th victory of the season in a 5-2 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. It hasn't always been smooth sailing for the 30-year-old this season, but Bobrovsky has now won four of his past five starts for the Jackets. Set to hit the free-agent market this summer, the Russian netminder is looking to earn a large contract and certainly would like to continue improving his current 2.88 goals-against average and .904 save percentage as he did in Saturday's win. With the trade deadline just a little over a week away, Bobrovsky is likely to receive the bulk of his team's starts to potentially increase his value in the trade market.
