6 years agoSt. Louis Blues goaltender Jake Allen stopped all 32 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-0 road victory against the Colorado Avalanche, posting his second shutout of the season and the 18th of his career. His last shutout came on Dec. 7 in Winnipeg. Allen has slipped behind rookie Jordan Binnington on the depth chart, and his playing time has become rather erratic. Binnington has burst onto the scene with an 11-1-1 record in 13 games while winning seven straight. Binnington will be back in action Sunday in Minnesota. The Blues have another back-to-back situation next Saturday against Boston and Sunday in Minnesota, so that's likely when Allen will see his next action.--Daniel Dobish
