Cory Schneider Earns Victory In OT To Break Drought
6 years agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider stopped all 15 shots he faced in Friday's 5-4 overtime victory against the Minnesota Wild. He replaced an ineffective Keith Kinkaid, who allowed four goals on 17 shots before getting removed late in the second period. Schneider picked up his first win since Dec. 27, 2017 against the Detroit Red Wings. Despite the win and solid relief effort, Schneider is still just 1-7-2 with a 3.96 goals-against average and .873 save percentage. Still, he could carve out more playing time with Kinkaid struggling mightily lately.
