Dennis Smith Jr. Drops 31 Points During Loss In Motown
6 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. went for 31 points, eight assists, two rebounds and two steals over 35 minutes in Friday's 120-103 road loss against the Detroit Pistons. He did a decent job from the floor, going 9-for-15 while adding 2-for-5 from behind the three-point line, but he was a dismal 11-for-19 from the free-throw stripe. DSJ is settling in rather nicely in blue and orange, posting 28.0 points, 7.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.0 steals over the past two outings after a shaky debut on Sunday. Smith appears to be happy to be out of the shadow of Luka Doncic in Dallas, and the happiness is showing in his play. For now.
