Jaren Jackson Jr. Impresses Against Thunder
6 years agoMemphis Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 27 points on 12-for-18 shooting in Thursday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He also added seven rebounds and a pair of steals. The Grizzlies shipped both Marc Gasol and JaMychal Green away during Thursday's trade deadline, opening up more of a key role for Jackson in the Grizzlies frontcourt. While he'll have to contend with the newly-acquired Jonas Valanciunas, Jackson should take over as the team's top scoring option, with point guard Mike Conley on the outside. Jackson is a rising star in the league, and should be a fantasy riser as well after Thursday's action.
