Leon Draisaitl Scores Twice In Tuesday's Blowout Loss
6 years agoEdmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl picked up two goals in the first period of Tuesday's 6-2 defeat to the Chicago Blackhawks. He was a minus-two with two penalty minutes, six shots, and one hit in 21:38 of ice time. Despite the Oilers' recent struggles, Draisaitl has been one of the positive aspects of the team. He has seven goals and two assists in his past five games which brings him up to 31 goals and 34 assists through 53 games this campaign. Fellow star Connor McDavid tallied two assists in the contest to bring him to 78 points on the season. He remains tied with Patrick Kane for second in league scoring. The Oilers will face off with the Minnesota Wild on Thursday in their next matchup.
