Dennis Smith Jr. Records Triple-Double In Rout
6 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. registered 13 points to go along with 15 assists and 10 rebounds across 28 minutes in Wednesday's 114-90 road rout of the New York Knicks. It was DSJ's second-career triple double, and the 15 assists marked a new career best. He is averaging 15.5 points, 7.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds across the past four outings since returning from a six-game absence. Apparently he can co-exist with rookie Luka Doncic in the same lineup, and the Mavericks are 3-1 during his hot streak. He could still be dealt to another organization at some point, but it's hard to imagine the Mavs just giving him away. They're sure to fetch a hefty return.
