San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture picked up a goal and two assists during a wild 7-6 overtime win against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night. Couture has goals in three of his past four games. The Canadian pivot now has 19 goals and 28 assists through 52 games this season. He leads all Sharks' forwards in scoring. Couture is a reliable fantasy asset that sees upwards of 20 minutes a night on one of the most talented teams in hockey. A 70-point season is well within his reach. The Sharks are now off until February 2 against the Arizona Coyotes.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller

San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture (groin) is putting in a lot of effort to get healthy for 2024-25 after missing almost the entire season last year. "He's working extremely hard. He's in San Jose. He's been in San Jose. He's training. He's working out. I know he's feeling good, and I know when Logan is feeling good, we will let him play," said Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky in an interview on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio on Tuesday. "We have a really good plan as an organization for Logan to get him back healthy." A groin issue limited the Sharks captain to only six appearances in the last campaign. Couture has averaged 0.75 points per game during a 15-year career and should still be productive when he's ready to play again.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture looks set to remain put this summer. The Sharks have entered a rebuilding phase, but there are no plans to part ways with the team captain. General manager Mike Grier said earlier in the week that rumors of the Sharks trying to trade Couture are "absolutely false." Couture, who celebrated his 35th birthday in March, has been a productive player throughout his career, but injuries limited him to only six appearances in 2023-24. Even if there is a change of plans in San Jose, and the Sharks try to move Couture, then it won't be easy, as he has three years left to go on a contract that has an $8 million cap hit.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture said on Saturday that he is optimistic he can return to full health this fall and plans to begin skating again in July. Couture appeared in just six games in the 2023-24 season after suffering a groin injury while off-ice training prior to training camp. He didn't make his season debut until Jan. 20 against the Ducks, recording an assist, before going pointless across his next five games. He was shut down for the rest of the regular season after a Jan. 31 contest against the same Ducks team. The Sharks finished the regular season dead last in the NHL with 47 points and have the best chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NHL Draft.--Brenton Kemp

San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture (lower body) won't return to the lineup in 2023-24. The Sharks captain has been out since Jan. 31, and Couture has now said he won't be returning this season. San Jose has basically been without Couture for the entire year already, as the 34-year-old has been limited to just six appearances. With Tomas Hertl shipped to Vegas, Mikael Granlund has taken over first-line center duties in San Jose, with plenty of youngsters poised to fill a big role in the top six for the rest of the season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
