Edmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl rolled up two goals with an assist in Sunday's 7-4 loss against the visiting Carolina Hurricanes. He and center Connor McDavid, who had two assists, were the only multi-point performers in the home setback. Right wing Zack Kassian also lit the lamp, and defenseman Brandon Manning rounded out the scoring. It wasn't a bad offensive night, but goaltender Cam Talbot didn't have it early on, giving up three goals on 15 shots before getting pulled midway through the first period. Mikko Koskinen was thrust into action, allowing three goals on 18 shots to finish up the rout.--Daniel Dobish

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) is good to go for the start of the playoffs on Monday night against the Los Angeles Kings. The 2024/25 Rocket Richard Trophy winner sat out the last seven regular-season games due to an undisclosed injury and appeared in only three of the final 14 contests. He is projected to skate on the second line alongside Vasily Podkolzin and Viktor Arvidsson in Game 1 against the Kings. Draisaitl has averaged the fifth-most postseason points in NHL history and erupted for 10 points (five goals, five assists) during a five-game series against the Kings last year.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) has taken home the Rocket Richard Trophy as the NHL's leading goal-scorer in 2024-25. He finished at the top of the pile for the first time in his career, potting 52 goals in 71 contests. The German superstar missed the final seven regular-season games due to an undisclosed injury, but still comfortably ended up as the league's top goal-scorer, with William Nylander of the Toronto Maple Leafs finishing second on 45 goals. Draisaitl lit the lamp in 42 of his 71 outings and set a single-season NHL record with six overtime goals. He now also holds the NHL record for the most games missed (11) in a season by a Rocket Richard Trophy winner. Over the course of the campaign, Draisaitl added 54 assists to his tally, finishing with 106 points. This marks his fourth consecutive season with at least 100 points, and his sixth overall.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
