Gerald Green Provides Much-Needed Tertiary Scoring
6 years agoHouston Rockets shooting guard Gerald Green finished with 16 points off the bench in Wednesday's 116-109 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks, one of just four players in double digits for the home side. Green picked up the scoring slack with Danuel House Jr. (1-for-5), P.J. Tucker (2-for-9) and Clint Capela (4-for-16) each struggling with their shot. Green wasn't terribly efficient at 5-for-13, but he did drop in three triples while adding two rebounds, an assist and a steal in his 33 minutes off the pine. Overall he is averaging just 8.9 points per game on the season, but he has a very nice 16.5 points per outing in four January contests. If you need a short-term boost in scoring, Green likely can be had in many leagues off the waiver wire.
