Dan Quinn To Take Over Defensive-Coordinator Duties
6 years agoAtlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn will take over the defensive-coordinator duties in 2019 after the team fired defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel this week. Quinn also took over play-calling duties on defense in the final quarter of the 2016 season when the Falcons made their Super Bowl run. Atlanta's D was ravaged by injuries to key playmakers early in the year and they never recovered, finishing 28th in yards allowed per game (384.5), 27th in passing yards allowed per game (259.6), 25th in rushing yards allowed per game (124.9) and 25th in points allowed per game (26.4). They should be able to rebound substantially in 2019 with better health.
