6 years agoPhil Mickelson is not teeing it up in this week's Sentry Tournament of Champions. "Lefty" qualified for the TOC via his win at the WGC-Mexico event last season, but has elected not to play at Kapalua. The 48-year-old has made it clear that he plans to cut back his 2019 schedule in an attempt to keep himself fresh for the larger events. Mickelson got off to a strong start in 2018 before fading badly down the stretch. He struggled in both the FedEx Cup Playoffs and the Ryder Cup.
