NHL is back after a few days off and we have a 13-game slate to break down. There are a ton and I mean a ton of options across the board, so if you are rolling out multiple lineups, this is the slate you should be excited about.
Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 12/27/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider
Nathan MacKinnon - C, COL @ VGK (FD - $8,600, DK - $7,900)
MacKinnon has posted a point or more in eight of his last nine games and in a spot to do that again, as he is against the Golden Knights in a game where the over-under is set at six. The Avalanche come in with an expected Corsi For set at 44.6, which is about average for the slate. He comes in averaging over 3.5 shots per game, is on the first forward line, the first power-play unit and is usable in all formats tonight.
Nikolaj Ehlers - W, WPG vs CGY (FD - $6,000, DK - $5,800)
Ehlers makes a solid cash game option tonight since he is up against the Flames where the over-under is set at 6.5 goals. We are expecting plenty of goals in this game, meaning plenty of fantasy upside. He is very fairly priced across the industry and on the top forward line with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler. Love the multi-point ceiling game he has since he is also on the second power-play unit, which also makes a solid spot to stack tonight.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Marc-Edouard Vlasic - D, SJ vs ANH (FD - $3,800, DK - $4,000)
With Erik Karlsson being suspended for a few games, we will see Vlasic up on the second power-play unit, making him a bit of a value play given his new role. He averages over one shot per game, along with over one blocked shot per game, which should make him cash game viable tonight, along with offering a bit of savings.
Justin Faulk - D, CAR @ WAS (FD - $4,700, DK - $4,200)
Faulk and the Hurricanes come in with the second highest expected Corsi For on the slate set at 48.8 tonight, which means plenty of shots from their offense. Faulk is on the first power-play unit and comes in very, very affordable tonight and have an implied team total set at 2.8. We could be in for a high-scoring game against the Capitals, which makes this an ideal spot to target for a game stack in GPPs.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Matt Murray - G, PIT vs DET (FD - $8,500, DK - $8,200)
Murray and the Penguins come in as -265 home favorites, which should make him a solid cash game option on this slate. He has won in three straight games, while only allowing four total goals in those three games. Murray has also posted 31 saves or more in each of those three games, so he is also viable in GPPs due to his potential ceiling from saves.
