Toronto Maple Leafs right wing Kasperi Kapanen picked up two goals with a minus-1 rating, three shots on goal and two blocked shots and a hit in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win against the Detroit Red Wings. Center John Tavares chipped in with a goal, an assist, a plus-2 rating and four shots on goal, giving him five goals and nine points with a plus-6 rating during his current five-game point streak. Defenseman Morgan Rielly also stayed hot with a goal, an assist and a plus-4 rating, extending his point streak to five games with three goals and 11 points while posting a plus-11. The rearguard also has three straight multi-point efforts.--Daniel Dobish

St. Louis Blues right wing Kasperi Kapanen sustained an upper-body injury in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to Ottawa. He recorded one shot and two hits across 6:37 of action in the contest. Kapanen was drafted into the lineup due to Mathieu Joseph's (lower body) absence. Nathan Walker could now be the next man up. Walker has managed one assist with five shots in five games this season. Fantasy managers should leave him on the waiver wire.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

St. Louis Blues right wing Kasperi Kapanen (lower body) is on track to rejoin the lineup on Saturday against Buffalo. The 27-year-old has been sidelined for the past seven games with a lower-body injury. Kapanen sits on four goals and 13 points through 42 appearances. He's had a bad year, averaging the fewest points since 2017-18. However, Kapanen filled a second-line role in Friday's practice, and a spot in the top six could give him a boost.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

St. Louis Blues winger Kasperi Kapanen will miss at least the next four weeks due to a lower-body injury. The 27-year-old was injured blocking a Nick Seeler shot in the third period of the Blues' 4-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday. The speedy forward was recently promoted to the Blues' top line but will instead hit injured reserve for at least the next month. It's been another subpar season for the veteran who has tallied just four goals and 13 points across 42 games with the Blues this season, his first full year in St. Louis. Kapanen has appeared in 429 career NHL regular-season games with 82 goals and 199 points in that time between the Maple Leafs, Penguins, and Blues.--Brenton Kemp

St. Louis Blues right wing Kasperi Kapanen missed Tuesday's preseason game against the Blue Jackets with an upper-body injury. The Finnish winger was scheduled to play in the contest but ended up sitting it out. According to head coach Craig Berube, it's only a minor issue for Kapanen, so the 27-year-old should be able to get some action in soon. Kapanen is set to start his first season with the Blues. He had a decent 23-game spell last term after being picked up off waivers, posting eight goals and six assists.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
