Mike Evans Salvages Day With One Huge Catch
6 years agoBuccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been a disappointment in the second half of the season but had one of his better outings in Week 15. A 64-yard catch in the middle of the game saved his line for the day as he only managed four catches for 121 yards on nine targets. This was Evans' first 100-yard receiving game this month which is huge given that he is not catching touchdowns anymore. He has just two scores since Week 4 with his last one coming a month ago against the Giants. Evans is a must-start due to target volume but is just a high-end WR2 with the recent numbers. He has the benefit of playing in his hometown next weekend, which may result in a shining performance. No way you bench him for Week 16.
