Corey Clement Placed On Injured Reserve
Corey Clement (knee) and defensive end Josh Sweat (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday and signed running back Boston Scott and defensive end Daeshon Hall to the active roster in a corresponding move. Clement had been serving as the main pass-catching back behind rookie Josh Adams in recent weeks, but he'll now miss the final three games of the season. He finishes with 68 carries for 259 yards (3.8 yards per carry) and two touchdowns, while also grabbing 22 catches for 192 yards. Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood will switch off catching passes behind Adams now. Sproles is the more attractive RB3/flex in PPR leagues the rest of the way.

Corey Clement Rejoins Cardinals Practice Squad
Corey Clement to their practice squad. The 28-year-old was cut by the team on Tuesday after failing to make the 53-man roster. Despite that, Clement will be back with the team, but won't have a role right away. The Cardinals will stash him on the practice squad as a possible depth option. Clement posted a strong preseason with 84 yards on 16 touches. He appeared in nine games with the Cardinals last season, but didn't make much of an impact. He can be ignored in fantasy formats for the moment.

Corey Clement Makes His Claim For Roster Spot
Arizona Cardinals running back Corey Clement made a case to be on the team's final 53-man roster for the start of the season. In the team's 18-17 preseason win over the Minnesota Vikings, Clement rushed 14 times for 79 yards, averaging 5.6 YPC. His tough running helped secure the Cardinal's come-from-behind win. Currently fourth on the team's running back depth chart, Clement was by far the most efficient runner in this game. Due to James Conner's injury history, if he can make the team, Clement could find himself in a more stable role as the season progresses.

Corey Clement Gets Preseason Start, Tallies Nine Touches
Corey Clement received the first carry in the team's preseason opener against Denver on Friday night. The team gave starter James Conner the night off and presumptive backup Keaontay Ingram (abdomen) did not suit up. That left Clement and Ty'Son Williams the opportunity to play in the opening series. The ex-Eagle finished the contest with six carries for 15 yards and three catches for 13 yards. Unless both Ingram and Conner are dealing with injuries, Clement is not worth drafting in standard-sized leagues.

Cardinals Bring Corey Clement Back On One-Year Deal
Corey Clement to an undisclosed one-year deal on Tuesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Clement will return to provide running back depth yet again in Arizona behind James Conner. Darrel Williams is a free agent this offseason. The 28-year-old appeared in only nine games in the desert in his first year with the team in Arizona and carried the ball just 15 times for 55 yards and one touchdown, adding five receptions for 54 yards on seven targets. Clement won't be on the fantasy radar in 2023 unless the Cardinals RB position is decimated by injuries.
