Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (neck) is extremely doubtful to play on Thursday against the Chiefs after suffering another stinger on an onside kick by the Bengals at the end of the Week 14 game. Ekeler is dealing with a bruised nerve in his neck. It sounds like it's painful, and on a short week it's unlikely he'll be ready. The Chargers are hoping that Melvin Gordon (knee) can return after a two-game absence, but if he can't, rookie Justin Jackson would be the workhorse in a great matchup with shootout potential.
