Timo Meier Continues Producing In Breakout Season
6 years agoSan Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier posted a pair of assists in his team's 5-3 victory against the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday. With the two points, the 22-year-old has now reached the point-per-game mark with 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) through his first 28 games of the 2018-2019 season. Meier flashed some offensive brilliance in his first full NHL season last year in eclipsing the 20-goal mark (21 goals) but has seemingly taken his game to a new level in just his second season. The Swiss native has cemented himself in the Shark's top-six forward group and is relied upon by his team each night to generate offense. Considering his average draft position was in the 173rd slot in Yahoo! leagues, Meier looks to be one of the biggest draft-day steals of the season. Taking on the Devils on Monday, fantasy owners should make sure to find a spot in their lineups for second-year stud.
