Aaron Rodgers Gets Chance At Fresh Start
6 years agoWhatever fantasy football mystique that had surrounded Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has disappeared over the course of this year. Rodgers was generally viewed as someone who should be started in any circumstance every single week and as someone who had a preposterously high weekly floor. The past two weeks proved those assumptions wrong. However, for the first time in Rodgers’ career he will have a different head coach than Mike McCarthy. McCarthy has dragged this offense down in various ways, but it is unlikely his absence will have much of an effect on the offense this season. The biggest issue with McCarthy was the offensive scheme that he implemented. That cannot be overhauled in just one week. Additionally, interim head coach Joe Philbin is a McCarthy disciple and will likely act accordingly. Still, Rodgers has been a QB1 this season despite disappointing play and he has a very favorable matchup in Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons. He can be considered a solid QB1 for Week 14 and you can feel comfortable starting him in a fantasy playoff game.
