Dallas Mavericks point guard/small forward Luka Doncic will be held out of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a right hip strain. This will mark the first game missed in the career of Doncic, who is coming off a season-low six-point performance against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. Should Dennis Smith Jr. be cleared, he should figure to see a larger role, while it’s likely Wesley Matthews and Harrison Barnes could absorb some of Doncic’s shots. Head coach Rick Carlisle doesn’t believe the injury to be serious, so owners can cross their fingers and hope he suits up Tuesday versus the Portland Trail Blazers.--Jesse Borek

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic scored a game-high 31 points on 9-for-20 shooting in Tuesday's 94-85 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Scoring came hard for most players on the night, but Doncic made it back-to-back 30-point efforts for himself in the series, hitting 2-for-8 from downtown and 11-for-11 at the charity stripe. He nearly had a triple-double, finishing with 12 rebounds and nine assists. It seems the Timberwolves players will have nightmares of Doncic for the second consecutive year, as he has averaged 34.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists through the first two games of the series.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic (quadriceps) does not appear on the injury report ahead of Saturday's Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He did not play in the team's regular-season finale due to left quadriceps soreness. Last year, Doncic was outstanding in a series against the Timberwolves and is expected to deliver big performances again. The Slovenian superstar closed out the regular season in great form, averaging 31.8 points for April with 45.3 percent shooting from downtown.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic (groin) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He has been added to the injury report with a right groin strain and may take some time off to rest as the Lakers begin another back-to-back on Tuesday night. LeBron James (groin) and Austin Reaves (ankle) are also on the report as questionable, so the Lakers' bench may have a big role to play against the Thunder.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports that Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic (ankle) will not play against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. Tonight's game is the second half of a back-to-back set, and Doncic will sit out to manage his right ankle sprain. He finished with 31 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals across 32 minutes in a 120-108 victory over the Nuggets on Wednesday. With Austin Reaves (ankle) also sidelined, Shake Milton, Gabe Vincent, and Jordan Godwin will likely see an uptick in minutes and scoring opportunities than usual.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
