Mitch Trubisky's Status Up In The Air All Week
6 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky and his teammates do not return to work until Tuesday, but reports coming out of the organization are that their second-year quarterback's status will be up in the air all week. ESPN's Adam Shefter called the situation "iffy" that Trubisky will be healthy enough to face the Giants in Week 13 but that the team was "hopeful". Trubisky took a late hit from the Vikings Harrison Smith in the right shoulder and reportedly is dealing with an AC sprain. The injury seems to be taking longer to heal up than the team expected and they will be cautious when dealing with their franchise quarterback's throwing arm. Backup Chase Daniel stepped in against the Lions and threw two touchdowns while playing turnover-free football but the fantasy drop-off for the Bears offensive weapons is significant. Trubisky's status could be up in the air all the way up to game time this Sunday.
