Matt Breida Healthy And Taking Over Offense
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida dominated the team’s backfield in snaps (44) and touches (20) in Week 10 and that should continue in Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coming off a two-touchdown performance and bye week, a finally-healthy Breida should set the tempo for the offense against the shaky Bucs. Tampa Bay’s rush defense ranks sixth-worst in DVOA and surrenders 4.5 yards per carry. Breida will cede a handful of snaps to veterans Alfred Morris and Kyle Juszczyk but his usage isn’t a risk. Unless the game devolves into an unlikely lopsided contest, Breida should experience a heavy workload. He can be trusted as a solid RB2.
