Matthew Stafford Hard To Trust Against Bears
6 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for just 220 yards and one touchdown in last week's victory over the Panthers. He now has a short week to prepare to face the the Bears for the second time in three weeks. In the first matchup, Stafford threw for two touchdowns in garbage time, which saved his day that included two interceptions. This Thursday, he could be without top wide receiver Marvin Jones (knee) again, as well as rookie running back Kerryon Johnson (knee). This puts added pressure on the 30-year-old signal caller to make things happen. That's not a favorable outlook against a defense of the Bears caliber. Stafford can serve as a QB2 this week, but there are better streaming options as you hunt for the playoffs.
