Keith Kirkwood Utilized In Week 10
6 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Keith Kirkwood had three catches for 33 yards in the Saints Week 10 win. Kirkwood, an undrafted rookie has seen 45% and 36% of offensive snaps over the last two weeks as wide receiver Dez Bryant went down with an injury and newly acquired wide receiver Brandon Marshall was not ready to play. Once Marshall takes the field, there is a good chance that Kirkwood sees his snaps decrease heavily. Moving forward, Kirkwood can be a viable sleeper option if the Saints' receiving core has another injury but holds little value if all receivers are healthy and Marshall is on the field.

He has also played significant special teams snaps during his career.

Keith Kirkwood Waived By Saints
1 year agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Keith Kirkwood has been waived by the organization on Saturday. This isn't surprising as Kirkwood's snaps have been taking a hit over the last month or so. He was a healthy scratch for each of the last two games. He will finish his 2023 Saints stint with one catch on four targets for four yards. Kirkwood will look to catch on elsewhere, but would likely be a depth option on any organization. Fantasy managers can continue to ignore him going forward.

Saints Re-Sign Keith Kirkwood To One-Year Deal
2 years agoThe New Orleans Saints re-signed wide receiver Keith Kirkwood to an undisclosed one-year contract extension. In 2022, Kirkwood caught just two of his four targets for 18 yards in five games played. It was his third season with New Orleans after spending the first two years of his career with the team, when he caught a combined 13 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns on 21 targets in nine games played. The 28-year-old wideout spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons with the Carolina Panthers, catching four of nine targets for 30 yards in only four games. Kirkwood will continue to serve as receiver and special teams depth for the Saints, but he won't have any fantasy appeal.
