6 years agoThe Denver Broncos scored three touchdowns against the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday. Running back Phillip Lindsay was responsible for two of them. Lindsay received just 11 carries with Royce Freeman back in action, but made the most of his touches averaging 7.2 yards per carry en route to 79 yards - he also brought in four of five targets for an additional 27 yards through the air. Week 11 marks the fourth time Lindsay has gone over 100 scrimmage yards this season -- bringing his per game average to 85.7 -- and his consistent production keeps him in the RB2 conversation heading into a tough matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12.--Leonard Francis II

2 years agoWith Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) out for Week 9 against the New England Patriots on Sunday, the team elevated running backs Phillip Lindsay and Jordan Wilkins from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday. The Colts traded Nyheim Hines to the Bills on Tuesday, so they'll need additional depth with Taylor injured. Indy landed Zack Moss from Buffalo as well, but he's unlikely to be up to speed in his debut with the team after just being acquired on Tuesday. Deon Jackson should operate as the lead back against the Pats with Taylor out, but Lindsay did have 14 carries and caught six passes earlier this year in the two games that Taylor missed due to injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

2 years agoIndianapolis Colts running back Phillip Lindsay was expected to have a bigger role against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. Both Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Nyheim Hines (concussion) were sidelined for that contest. However, Deon Jackson stole the show, so Lindsay was forced to pick up the scraps. Now, Taylor and Hines are getting healthy and expected to suit up against the Tennessee Titans this week. That being said, Lindsay will likely fall down to fourth on the depth chart. He probably won't be involved at all during Sunday's game.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

2 years agoIndianapolis Colts running back Phillip Lindsay was expected to have a bigger role during Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts were limited with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Nyheim Hines (concussion) out. However, Lindsay took a backseat to Deon Jackson during Sunday's victory. Jackson hauled in ten receptions for 79 yards and logged 12 carries for 42 yards. Lindsay picked up the scraps with three carries for seven yards, while hauling in three receptions for five yards through the air. The hope is that Taylor and Hines will be able to play in Week 7. Otherwise, Jackson could be in for another big game. It's unlikely that Lindsay is going to have a big role in this offense going forward.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

2 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts elevated running backs Phillip Lindsay and D'Vonte Price to the active roster from the practice squad on Saturday and also signed wide receiver Keke Coutee to the active roster and waived offensive tackle Luke Tenuta. Running backs Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Nyheim Hines (concussion) have been ruled out for Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, so the Colts will roll with Deon Jackson, Lindsay and Price in their backfield this Sunday. Jackson will be the preferred flex option in deeper leagues after he saw a team-high 13 carries for 62 yards and caught all four of his targets for 29 yards on 58 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 5 overtime win over the Denver Broncos.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
