Pedestrian Day For Adrian Peterson
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson carried the ball 19 times for 68 yards in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers. The lack of an end zone visit means Peterson's fantasy investors were looking elsewhere in their lineups for outstanding production, but the important thing to remember is that his value is based entirely on volume, and no one is challenging him for that in the Washington backfield. Peterson ceded just three carries to Kapri Bibbs, who doesn't appear to be fantasy-relevant even in Chris Thompson's extended absence. Peterson will continue to see the type of bell cow workload that normally yields fantasy-friendly results, and is arguably the only player in this offense worth starting on a weekly basis.
