Minnesota Wild left wing Zach Parise scored his fourth goal in the last six games on Sunday, helping the team beat the St. Louis Blues 3-2. Assisted by Nino Niederreiter and Jonas Brodin, Parise made it 1-1 early in the second period with a slick spin-o-rama. He ended up scoring with his only shot on goal. The veteran winger has had multiple multi-point nights this season and he hasn't gone pointless for more than two games, so Parise has been in top form right from the off. He now has seven goals and 16 points for the season in 17 games, rewarding owners who weren't put off by his injury problems.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Colorado Avalanche winger Zach Parise (lower body) will be a game-time call for Saturday's big clash with the Oilers. The veteran forward has been unavailable for three contests, sitting out action with a lower-body problem. Parise has made 15 appearances with the Avalanche since joining the team in late January, posting four goals and three assists with 30 shots on goal. He will presumably return in a third-line role, where he's seen most action with his new club.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Colorado Avalanche left wing Zach Parise will miss Friday's game against Minnesota with a lower-body injury. The 39-year-old is considered day-to-day. Parise comes out of the lineup after logging four goals and seven points in 15 appearances with the Avalanche. Following a quiet start in Denver, Parise has notched six points (three goals, three assists) in his last eight games. Miles Wood will take his position on the third line on Friday. With 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) posted in 59 games, Wood has had a decent season, but he's been held scoreless for eight consecutive games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Free-agent forward Zach Parise won't be at the New York Islanders' training camp, general manager Lou Lamoriello announced on Monday. Parise became an unrestricted free agent following last season. In May, he said he would either retire or return for another year with the Islanders. The 39-year-old is currently focused on having family time at home in Minnesota. However, Lamoriello didn't rule out his eventual return. "I think he made the right decision for his family, and then we'll just keep the door open for him," Lamoriello said. "And as I said to him, we'll keep the number (No. 11) open, too." Lamoriello added that he didn't "feel" Parise would be retiring at this point. The left winger enjoyed a decent campaign with the Islanders in 2022-23, finishing as the team's third-best scorer with 21 markers and notching 34 points in total across 82 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

New York Islanders forward Zach Parise set up Mathew Barzal on a breakaway. Barzal polished. Parise now has three assists and no goals on the season. He is seeing mostly middle-six minutes with a lean towards playing the top-six on a more permanent basis. On Monday night, Parise played just over 14 minutes with about a minute on the penalty kill and power-play each. The left-winger had two shots on goal, two scoring chances, and two hits. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
