Matthew Stafford Saves Fantasy Day In Garbage Time
6 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford finished 25 of 42 for 274 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Bears. The Lions got behind 26-7 in the first half, meaning they were forced to pass exclusively in the second half of yet another game. This garbage-time production was able to save Stafford's stat line as both of his touchdown's came in the fourth quarter. It was another week that Stafford was under duress the entire game, being sacked six times. Luckily, next week, Detroit gets to face a Carolina defense that was exposed by the Steelers on Thursday. The Lions will have to protect Stafford better if they want to have a chance at their fourth victory in Week 11.
