Jimmy Vesey Comes Through in the Clutch
6 years agoNew York Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey had two points on Saturday night, including the game-tying goal with less than a minute left in regulation. Vesey also pocketed the game-winning goal in the shootout which does little to provide fantasy value but does help build on his solid start to the season. After failing to reach 30 points in either of his first two seasons, Vesey is currently scoring at a pace of .53 points per game and shooting a career-high 16.2 percent. It will take a promotion from the second power-play unit or third even-strength line for Vesey to gain fantasy relevance but with the third most goals on the team (6), he is certainly making his case for increased usage.

Jimmy Vesey Evaluated For A Lower-Body Injury
7 months agoNew York Rangers left wing Jimmy Vesey is under evaluation for a lower-body injury. The gritty winger was hurt in Sunday's practice. The injury is not believed to be serious, with Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette saying, "It seemed somewhat harmless." Vesey has done a good job for the Rangers as a bottom-six forward. He collected 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists) in 80 games last season with 116 shots and 90 hits. Similar production should be expected from him in 2024-25.

Jimmy Vesey Out Week-To-Week
11 months agoNew York Rangers winger Jimmy Vesey (upper body) will not play in Sunday's Game 3 against Florida and is considered week-to-week. He suffered an upper-body injury in Game 2 on a big hit from Panthers forward Ryan Lomberg. Following a 26-point regular-season campaign, Vesey has notched three points (one goal, two assists) in 12 playoff contests. His absence might help Kaapo Kakko get back into the lineup, while veteran Blake Wheeler is also an option to make his first appearance since February.
