Philip Rivers Gets It Done Against Seahawks
6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers wasn't nearly as sharp as he usually is, but he still guided his team to victory on Sunday. Rivers completed just 50% of his passes for 228 yards, but he didn't turn the ball over and threw a pair of touchdowns along the way. His passer rating of 105 was still stellar and, most importantly, his control of the ball ensured that his team won, but it was a shakier start than usual. This was largely thanks to the strong Seattle secondary, but they proved to have no match for Keenan Allen, and Rivers regular turned to him in times of need. Rivers now has a 19/3 TD/INT ratio, and he's well on his way to being an MVP finalist this season.
