Rashaad Penny A Surprise Sleeper This Week?
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks rookie running back Rashaad Penny has seen his value crater this season as his workload has been unpredictable at best. That said, it may be time to play running back roulette in Seattle once again. Starter Chris Carson is questionable for this Sunday's matchup against the Chargers, and head coach Pete Carroll has seemed to pride himself on making the unlikely move. Last time Carson missed a game, third-stringer Mike Davis hopped Penny in the depth chart, carried the torch, and blazed his way over 100 yards. Now, Davis is the No.2, and Penny is coming off a week where he had zero offensive touches. Davis is the obvious replacement for Carson if he's out, but that may mean it's the perfect time for Penny to show up and show out. Only truly desperate owners should turn to Penny, but if one does and the chips fall right, he could be a stud this week.
