Lonzo Ball Dishes Out Seven Assists
6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball had a solid performance as his team picked up a win over the Dallas Mavericks. He scored 12 points on 4-for-6 shooting and went a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. Ball also dished out seven assists and had four rebounds in his 32 minutes. After a couple duds, it was nice to see Ball bounce back on Wednesday night. He is clearly establishing himself as the Lakers starting point and his shooting is a great compliment to LeBron James' passing game. The only concerning thing for Ball so far is his lack of defensive stats. After being great in that area last year, he has 0 blocks this season and has got just 1.1 steals-per-game (buoyed by a five-steal game). It has yet to be seen if there are fewer opportunities for those stats, with LeBron James and JaVale McGee around, or if it's just a cold spell in that area. Regardless Ball should have a solid season and he’ll look to have another good game on Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
