Jamal Murray Notches 23 Points And Five Steals Versus Pelicans
6 years agoDenver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray got it done both offensively and defensively on Monday against the Pelicans, scoring 23 points on 9-for-19 shooting and picking up five steals, which is his new career high. Murray is averaging less than one steal per game for his career, so getting five on one night was a massive bonus for fantasy owners. He played a team-high 39 minutes, bagged five rebounds and even had a block for a second consecutive game. Murray is right behind Nikola Jokic with his 23.1 percent usage rate, so he's heavily involved in every game. He could be set for a couple of really big nights on the bounce, with Denver facing Chicago and Cleveland, who are both very poor defensive sides.
