Michal Neuvirth Gives Up Six Goals In Season Debut
6 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Michal Neuvirth could have a few nightmares of his season debut, as he allowed six goals on 22 shots on Saturday against the Isles. The visitors scored the first three on him in less than 25 minutes and put the rest past him during a three-minute stretch in the final frame. Neuvirth finished with a horrible .727 save percentage. The Czech netminder, who had a 9-7-3 record last year, missed the start of the season with a groin problem. He's fully healthy now following a conditioning stint in the AHL, but it's pretty safe to say that Brian Elliott won't have to worry about his playing time for the foreseeable future.
