Raheem Mostert Positioned For Heavy Usage
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert is primed for the largest workload of his four-year career in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals. With Matt Breida’s (ankle) status increasingly dubious, Mostert should lead the Niners backfield in snaps and touches. Mostert has racked up 165 yards in 23 touches over the last two weeks spelling the battered Breida and outperforming a slogging Alfred Morris. The 49ers offensive line is fourth in adjusted line yards per carry (4.9) and face a Cardinals defense that allows a league-worst 148.3 yards per game. A history of fumbling issues is his biggest risk. Consider him a high-end RB3.
