6 years agoWashington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith will take on a Giants defense allowing 18 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks on Sunday. It's a middle-of-the-pack matchup, but Smith would actually have to exceed his normal fantasy output to reach 18 points in Week 8. With the Redskins having clearly demonstrated their preference to run the ball and play tough defense in the first half of the season, there isn't much room left in the game plan for Smith and the passing offense. As such, any fantasy owner who starts him will be banking on a customary turnover-free outing with the hope of a couple touchdowns sprinkled in.--Chris O'Reilly
