Otto Porter Grabs Double-Double In Overtime Win
6 years agoWashington Wizards small forward Otto Porter looked a lot more aggressive on Monday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. Porter scored 16 points on 6-for-16 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds. He also snagged two steals and blocked Damian Lillard at the buzzer to secure the win. Wizards head coach Scott Brooks has been critical of Porter (saying he’s playing to slow) so far and it appears he’s trying to fuel that criticism into shooting more. While the efficiency wasn't there last night, an increase in shot-attempts would be a welcome sight for owners. The 16 field-goal attempts match Porter’s totals from the first two games combined, so he could be due for a scoring increase if this continues. Porter will get a chance to shoot better on Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors.
